Hello and welcome everyone.
This is a topic that I’ve been thinking about for a long time now. I had planned to go to school to become a personal trainer after graduating from grad school and after finishing my first marathon, but being diagnosed with a heart condition really killed this dream for me.
However, now that I’ve been working with my healthcare team for several years, and they have stabilized my condition as much as I think we’re going to be able to do, this might be the perfect time to revisit this dream and see if it is viable.
The whole purpose of this account (and all the videos that I’ve been making these past few weeks) is to help other people with health conditions realize their fitness dreams and make the most from their lives. So maybe becoming a certified trainer would give me additional tools to make that possible? Maybe taking such classes will give me greater insight in how to help you guys better and more effectively for lasting results.
I dunno. I’m torn. Partly because I’m scared no one will take a personal trainer with a heart defect seriously. I mean, I definitely won’t be that fitness coach who will run 13 miles with you! My poor heart would just not make it.
But I really love the idea of being able to help people reach their dreams.
What do you think? I’d be interested to hear what you have to say.
As always, please like and follow my page for more fitness and cooking “How To” videos each week. And leave any comments down below.
Cheers,
Fey
If your heart is strong enough I say go for it. When I finally got up the nerve to start my blog full force I ended up loving it. Besides I think we always end up regretting the chances we didn’t take.

True, I would hate to look back on this dream and regret not moving forward with it. And I suppose there is nothing wrong with at least trying- even if my heart ends up being too weak to handle it. Thank you so much for your input!
